An ex-soldier ventures into the Pacific Northwest to uncover the truth behind his fiance's disappearance. Oh wow!<br/><br/>This movie really pulled from it's 1970's "scary is where you don't know what's coming because you keep seeing this.. I think? but wait… did we pass this.." It puts you right back on the edge of your seat and makes you think about camping, the whole secluded mindset while camping and now every single noise you'll ever hear again!<br/><br/>Oh wow. Just totally blew my mind. I totally didn't anticipate the terrific ending!<br/><br/>Can't wait for the next one! Right, well another movie about bigfoot, sure why not… It's not like there is a bunch of them around already. Wait, what? There is? Are you sure? Oh, well…<br/><br/>Given the premise of "Big Legend" then I still opted to sit down and watch it. Solely for one thing and one thing alone. No, not because of it being bigfoot. But because Lance Henriksen was in the movie. And even brandished on the front of the cover. Imagine my surprise when I came to realize that he wasn't even in the movie for a whole 5 minutes.<br/><br/>But moving on… Despite that, then there was actually something that worked quite well in favor of the movie. No, not the fact that it was about hunting bigfoot. But, for me, it was the whole situation of being out in the wilderness facing an elusive creature or being that should not really be existing. And finding yourself to be stalked and not playing on your homefield.<br/><br/>And also the performances of both Kevin Makely and Todd A. Robinson, because they really carried the movie quite well. And rightfully so, because they were essentially the entire cast for 90% of the entire movie. So they had additional weight on their shoulders, but they both came through with flying colors. Of course, Lance Henriksen is always a welcomed face (and voice) to any movie, just a shame that his role in this movie was such a small one… But wait, the end of the movie actually hints at there being a sequel in the future - could be interesting enough.<br/><br/>As for the effects in "Big Legend", well I will say that this hardly was a movie that relied on spectacular CGI and special effects to blow away the audience. There was a bit of practical effects throughout the movie, and they were done quite nicely and were realistic. The creature design for the bigfoot, however. Well, I will be gracious enough and leave it at let's just say that I was not impressed and had expected a bit more bestial design.<br/><br/>However, all in all then "Big Legend" actually turned out to be an entertaining movie.
