Simple new level guide for the 1-99 now

1- 12 right outside whatever area you started in
12-30 gusgen mines (GoV)
30-99 abyssea

Now to break it down just a bit. 12-30 in gusgen mines is JUST A BASE. You can technically do 1-99 in gugsen mines if you REALLY wanted to due to level sync capabilities. If you get bored its 30-50 in crawlers nest (GoV).

Now for Abyssa. This is a crazy place. You need atleast one "Traverse Stone" to get into the zone. (Almost every map has a abyssea version, but not all).. You can hold a max of 3 stones. 1 stone = 30 minutes for a base max of 90 minutes. You can then get additional time opening time chests and beating NMS.

Now, if you have a group that doesnt care about your level, you CAN go to abyssea as soon as level 30. But you will be on chest duty. Since you will not be able to hit the mobs, you will run around and loot the keys that drop, and as the chests spawn upon certain mombs death, you just use the keys. You can also purchase "Special" keys with Cruor that can open any chest (Not all keys open all chests).

Around 50-60 depending on gear and class you can start partaking in actual combat, which is just running around slaughtering different sections of mobs. Each "type" of mob drops 2 items that can spawn a NM version, which drops the good gear for 75+ that you can sell to make money or use. You need TONS of cruor for the level 85+ stuff so dont worry about that at this time.

In abyssea depending on party type you can get 200k+ xp a hour. If your chest bitch then expect less, but still WAY faster than soloing or traditional 6man parties.

Hey guys, Was talking with my friend again and gave me some more info on how to level to 99 SUPER FAST. Again this info is for anyone who is thinking about playing the game again, will help them decide if they wish. I just felt like sharing because its pretty cool. I will break it down into steps to complete.

Step 1. Go unlock Dancer if you havent already. Level to 15 from starting area of your choice. Then from 15-30 go to Gusgen Mines and do the pages (usually there is always a party there so just flag up and shout).

Step 2. From 30-50 Go to Crawlers Nest and do the pages. Again a party will usually always be there so it wont be difficult just time consuming for a bit (usually a few hours).

Step 3. Here is where it breaks off. You can 1 of 2 options.

Option A. You can go from 50-75 in Bostaunieux Oubliette pages (again same style as previous steps).

Option B. You can go to Abyssea La'thien Plat as level 50 and be Key bitch. In order to do this step you will need a base amount of cruor to purchase start keys then you can join a worm party and loot the keys and open chests.
Take note that chests have requirements to unlock "Solving puzzles" and if you don't know how to do them and are not fast enough you will be kicked for a differeny "key master" as they are called. So I recommend
Doing Option 1 unless you can find a alliance to let you leech by just fighting the worms, detailed in steps to follow.

Step 4. Make sure that you do the Limit Break Quest so you can get your character to 80. This is important for the following steps!!!

Step 5. Once your ATLEAST 65+ (Can be lower but again notes are in option B step 3.) Get yourself 1-3 traverse stones. NOTE: you only need 1 stone for this to work, but if your just going to abyssea for the first time, please take 2-3 because you will waste time running there, Its a long walk haha! Anyway Once your in the abyss just do a shout for a "worm" party. Make sure to let them know your new so you will be a min to get to them. Its the same map as
Regular La'thien so just use ffxi-atlas as a reference when your trying to get to them. There are pillars you can activate so You can just warp there faster, but again your need cruor for that so don't worry about that now.

Step 6. Once inside party, its a fend for yourself type deal. All you will be doing is running around and slaughtering all the worms that pop up. Make sure you go /DNC!!!! Healers are rare in these parties and they assume you will
go /dnc to heal yourself. You will occasionally see a line that says "<Character Name> has received temporary items" This means someone opened a chest with items. The items are 2 healing items for HP, 2 for MP, and a
att/acc for both melee and magic. MAKE SURE TO USE THE att/acc AS SOON AS YOU GET THEM!!!! They help greatly and once the alliance gets rolling full speed, you will receive the temp items more frequently so you don't have
to worry about wasting them. Lastly make sure to ask the alliance to look on "Kindred Crests" You will need 15 total for future steps. 99% of the time They don't care, make sure you say "Hello, Can I please Loot Kindred Crests
For LB's?". Then just loot 15 and let the rest drop randomly.

Step 7. Once you start you will notice there is no xp, don't worry it builds up because your character needs to gain "lights", which is determined by how you/the alliance kilsl mobs (Melee kills, magic kills, skill chain kills..)
after 30-45 min You will start to see the xp coming, just keep at it. Eventually (around 1hour if its a slow alliance) You will get 500-600 xp a kill of the worms which die in 5-10 seconds with the alliance, this is where
the XP comes. Make sure that you have step 4 complete and just slaughter the worms and soak up all the XP.

Step 8. When your character has capped XP (1 xp to 81) and you have 30 stored merits (cap is 30 now and once your at 1 xp to 81 it automatically converts to merit points) and you have 15 kindred crests, your ready to make your
characters level limit 90. Go to Ru'Lude Gardens and talk to the moogle next to Maat. He will ask for 5 Kindred Crests and 5 merits. Since your already set talk to him again and you will get a CS. Spam through it and your
level cap is 85! GRATS!!!!

Step 9. Go to Whitegate and go to the Azouph Staging point (Your going to fight the imps, which are now Even Matches for lvl 80's). Go right outside the gate and to the imp, and just slaughter it (Depending on job just use
2hr and all your abilities to kill it fast, doesn't matter since chests in Abyssea reset your abilities while your killing worms!). Upon defeat of the imp, your now 81!!!! UBER GRATS BEAST!!!!!

Step 10. Head back to the moogle in Ru'Lude next to Maat and start the next one. He will want more Kindred Crests and More merits, but doesn't matter cause your have the amount anyway! IN YOUR FUCKING FACE MOOGLE!. This time
the cutscene will have you play a mini-game with 2 mat's (wtf o_o?!?!?!) Its call P/R/S!! You basically are choosing one of the 3 moves and hope your move counters the computers move. You need to win 4 times and the CS
Is over and then your level cap is 90!!!

Step 11. Go back to Abyssea now (Your time should be 120 minutes saves since in the party your get a fuckton of time extensions! Grats you dont have to use stones for a long time now :]!) This time however go to the NPC next to
the one you request the vigilance. He will let your trade Cruor for enchainments. Make sure you get the HP/MP and the Stat ones, usually around 1k crour for them all! Now your on par with the rest of the alliance. Go back
and repeat step 7 all the way to 90 (with 1 xp to 91 and fully stored 30 merits and 15 kindred crests).

Step 12. Go back to the moogle and this time he wants the kindred crests, the merits (10), and a RANDOM item from the previous LB's (I had to get a magicked skull from lvl 15 LB hahah!!!) Once you get the item go back
to the moogle and trade it all. Now another CS and Minigame!! This time you have to "time" your enter button. The moogle will ask if your ready, when ti starts your will see "… … … … …?" Each one comes 1 second
after the next. You need to wait for a total of 10 seconds (count in your head because they stop showing!! (fuckign SE)). Once you do this twice your CS is complete and gratis your level cap is 95!!!

Step 13. Repeat step 7 to get ready for level 95 LB. Level 95 LB is a fight similar to meat, but this time your fighting his "replacement" which is a taru monk. This is a 6 man event and he is fucking mean… He spams Hundred Fists
as well as other moves and can wipe a party of 95's in a heartbeat. Depending on your job you need to shout in jueno for a party and rock it. Upon that completion You level cap is 99!

There you go Depending on free time and whatnot you can complete all these steps in 2 days… which is sickening but w/e the real fun begins once you are 99. You start farming your af3 as well as soloing dynamis's for relics!
